Hommes, find themselves returning time and again, drawn by the fantastic, affordable food and the kindness exuded by the staff. “If it were close by, I’d probably be there weekly!” they declared, showcasing the café's irresistible charm.
One of the standout features of OIKOS Café is its extensive menu, primarily focused on vegetarian options. NEZAR Alrazok praised the café for its delicious food, complementing not only the taste but also the aesthetic appeal of the place. The carefully curated dishes are designed with both flavor and nutrition in mind, making it a perfect spot for anyone seeking to indulge without guilt.

The café features an area dedicated to children, ensuring it’s family-friendly. This attention to detail is a testament to the cafe's commitment to serving the community.
Moreover, the café serves as an essential community hub. Adam Rugg highlights the range of activities hosted here, from mum and tots groups to open mic nights, including the celebrated “Evening of Creativity.” This initiative has placed OIKOS Café firmly on the map as a cultural institution in Erdington.
Even during busier times, the staff's warmth and efficiency keep the experience enjoyable, as Chris Perry experienced during a visit for a hot drink and a veggie breakfast that looked nothing short of amazing. Although there was a minor criticism regarding cleanliness, the overall sentiment remains positive, underscoring the café's potential for growth and community engagement.
In conclusion, OIKOS Café is more than just a café; it’s a place where friendships are formed, creativity is celebrated, and comfort food nourishes the body and soul. If you find yourself in Birmingham, make sure to stop by—your new favorite café awaits!
“ I absolutely love this cafe. My friend works here Mondays and Fridays, which is why I first went. But it's all the way on the other side of the city for me, more than an hour and a half. I'm telling you though, I love it so much that I've already been twice and will return at least once. If it were close by, I'd probably be there weekly! The atmosphere is really nice. Somewhat industrial, somewhat beach-like. The food is fantastic and affordable. The staff is really kind. The seating is very comfortable. Also, they have a children's area. And I love the big mural: "the Light has come into the world and the darkness has not overcome it". ”
“ Very good and beautiful place to sit in, it is a combination of modern and traditional. The staff are very friendly. The food was delicious, most of the food is vegetarian. The prices are good. I highly recommend it. The place is beautiful to sit, think, work or have appointments. Thanks to the management of this place. ”
“ A cafe that I can have a quiet time with the Lord in without staff putting me out for opening my Bible. We need more branches of Oikos around Birmingham for sure ”
“ A lovely, friendly, cheerful local cafe with a church upstairs. They go out of their way to offer the space as a community hub and sponsor all kinds of activities from mum and tots groups to open mic nights. Definitely check out Evening of Creativity on 3rd Friday evenings, it's become an Erdington institution. ”
“ I popped in here with a friend for a hot drink and my mate had a veggie breakfast, looked amazing! Staff was very welcoming despite how busy it was. The only criticism I would make is the disabled toilet was a bit dirty but that's the only thing that let you down. I will deffo be back ”
“ Such a great place in Erdington. Amazing coffee and good selection of cakes and food. Lovely friendly atmosphere with great staff and service ”
“ Hidden gem, cozy, well lit if you're doing work. well made coffees, with a good menu for food. surprisingly large space with plenty of seats. Only comment is that food menus were only at tables/ felt hidden, so you have to sit first to decide what to eat then go back to till to order, but this wouldn't bother most people I think. ”
“ Amazing cafe very calm atmosphere lovely workers, I loved that they had some Christian music and lovely quotes kept me motivated and feeling happy! Lovely place to chill and do some work. ”
